Let me introduce myself, my name is Skye and I live in a little village called Hanwood which is in country NSW about 5 minutes from Griffith, I wanted a way to sell my handmade arts & crafts, so I started Marley & Maple Handmade. I named the business after my two dogs, Marley, a beautiful rescue Great Dane and Maple, a ball of fluff Maltese. I have always had a love of arts and crafts, I started acrylic painting and eventually moved onto candle and soap making. I wanted to learn how to use resin so attended a workshop during covid and have been making things out of resin ever since. I felt like i needed to expand my product range so i decided to start making tote bags, makeup bags, scrunchies, wallets, sunglass cases and earrings. It makes my heart smile when I see people using my bags or have one of my scrunchies in their hair. I love that people love my products as much as i love making them! It's not just a one woman show, my husband helps with market setup and pack up and selling when I need a hand and of course always offers moral support and is my biggest supporter and doing the household chores when I'm market prepping or fulfilling orders!
